Gov. Luis Fortuno announced Thursday that the Caribbean's largest solar energy project will be built in Puerto Rico, an island heavily dependent on petroleum where power costs twice what it does on the U.S. mainland.

The Green Homes Great Health Festival

The AES team made it's way to the Green Homes Great Health Festival in the Missouri Botanical Gardens the weekend of September 23rd.
The Festival had a variety of attractions including an inflatable colon, to educate people on colon cancer. There was a local foods court that included Missouri based local foods.
A Fitness Pavilion was open to the public and live local bands from the area played for the festival. Visitors to the fair even had the chance to paint a public city bus.

A study released this week by the Solar Energy Industries Association, GTM Research and the International Trade Commission found the U.S. had $1.8 billion in net exports of solar technology last year.
